About this product

What's the actual temperature range Creality lists for this ASA?
Creality's spec is fairly broad: 200–300°C nozzle temperature and 50–100°C bed temperature, with print speeds from 40–200mm/s. Start toward the middle of that range and adjust based on your specific printer and part geometry rather than jumping straight to the extremes. It's a detail worth confirming against your specific printer and setup before committing to a long print job.
Do I need a K1 Max or similar enclosed printer for this?
Creality specifically recommends enclosed printers like the K1 or K1 Max for optimal results with HP ASA. An open-frame printer can still work, but you'll likely see more warping on larger parts without the chamber stability an enclosure provides. A stable chamber temperature makes a real difference in how consistently the material performs across a full print.
Does ASA hold up to sunlight and outdoor weather?
Yes — Creality's listing highlights UV and weather resistance specifically, along with heat resistance up to 100°C, making it a strong choice for outdoor enclosures, automotive parts, or anything exposed to sun and temperature swings. A stable chamber temperature makes a real difference in how consistently the material performs across a full print.
Will this smell strongly while printing like ABS does?
Likely yes to some degree — ASA and ABS are chemically related styrenic polymers and both release more fumes during extrusion than PLA. Print in a ventilated space, and if your printer is enclosed, make sure it has decent air filtration rather than a fully sealed chamber with no exhaust. Match the material to the job: light decorative prints don't need this extra strength, but functional parts benefit from it.

Received the wrong item or something arrived defective? Contact us right away and we'll make it right with a replacement or full refund, no return fee in that case. Full details on our return policy page.

Printer & AMS Compatibility

Bambu filament is RFID-tagged, so AMS reads the type and colour automatically and sets temperatures for you. It also runs on any standard FDM printer that takes 1.75mm filament.

Storage & Drying

Keep filament sealed with desiccant when you're not printing. A fresh, sealed roll doesn't need drying — only dry it if prints start showing stringing or popping after the roll has been open a while.

Support

A real person answers our support email — not a bot. If a part arrives faulty or doesn't fit as described, tell us what happened and we'll make it right.
