Perfect For

  • Miniatures and intricate models
  • High-precision mechanical parts
  • Small decorative prints

Recommended Filaments

Optimized for standard filaments such as PLA, PETG, and TPU, this 0.2 mm stainless steel nozzle delivers outstanding detail with minimal clogging risk.
For abrasive or fiber-filled filaments (like PAHT-CF or PET-CF), a hardened steel nozzle is recommended to prevent wear.

Why Choose Stainless Steel?

  • Excellent thermal stability for consistent extrusion
  • Corrosion and wear resistance for longer life
  • Preassembled design for easy installation and quick upgrades

About this product

What kind of prints is a 0.2mm nozzle actually meant for?
It's for fine-detail work — miniatures, jewelry-scale parts, small mechanical features — where finer line width matters more than print speed. Every layer lays down less material than stock, so print times go up significantly.
Will this work on my P1P, or is it only for the X1C?
It fits the whole P1/X1 hotend family — the P1P, P1S and X1C share the same hotend design, so this 0.2mm hotend installs the same way on all three. It won't fit A Series or H2 Series printers.
Why is this stainless steel instead of hardened?
Fine-detail printing at 0.2mm is almost always done in non-abrasive filaments like PLA and PETG, and stainless performs identically to hardened for those materials while being simpler to clean. Hardened steel only pays off once you're running carbon- or glass-fiber blends.
What layer height should I use with this nozzle?
Set nozzle diameter to 0.2mm in your printer profile and drop layer height to roughly 0.06–0.12mm to actually get the resolution benefit. Leaving your slicer on default 0.4mm settings after installing this nozzle will just slow prints down without improving detail.
This nozzle keeps clogging more than my old one — is that normal?
It's expected behavior at this size. The narrower 0.2mm bore has much less tolerance for dust, debris, or slightly out-of-spec filament than a stock 0.4mm nozzle, so keep your filament dry and start a cold pull at the first sign of under-extrusion rather than waiting.
What's the safest way to unclog a nozzle this narrow?
Bambu's cold pull method is the safest first move — heat, cool slightly, then pull the filament straight out to drag debris with it. Use PLA or PETG for the cleanest results; go easy with a cleaning needle given how little clearance a 0.2mm bore has.
