Recommended Filaments

Bambu PLA, PETG, and TPU have been extensively tested with this 0.2 mm stainless steel nozzle, providing smooth and consistent results with fine layer detail.

Note: For abrasive or composite filaments (such as Bambu PLA-CF or PETG-CF), a hardened steel nozzle is recommended instead to prevent excessive wear.

About this product

What's a 0.2mm nozzle actually good for?
A 0.2mm nozzle is for fine-detail work — miniatures, jewelry, small mechanical parts with tight features — where you need finer line resolution than a stock 0.4mm nozzle can deliver. Expect much longer print times since each layer lays down less plastic.
Does this fit the A1, A1 Mini, and A2L the same way?
Yes, it's built for the A-series family specifically (A1, A1 Mini, A2L) and is not interchangeable with P1/X1 or H2/P2S/X2D hotends — those are separate hardware families with different form factors.
Why stainless steel and not hardened steel for a 0.2mm nozzle?
Stainless is the right call here because fine-detail printing on a 0.2mm nozzle is almost always done in PLA or PETG, non-abrasive materials where hardened steel offers no benefit. Stainless is easier to clean and there's no print-quality tradeoff for standard filaments — hardened only matters once you're running carbon- or glass-fiber blends.
Do I need to change any slicer settings for a 0.2mm nozzle?
Yes — set the nozzle diameter to 0.2mm in your printer profile so line widths and layer heights recalculate correctly, and drop your layer height (commonly 0.06–0.12mm) to actually take advantage of the finer nozzle. Skipping this step is the most common reason people think a small nozzle 'isn't working.'
Why does this nozzle clog more easily than my stock 0.4mm?
The narrower 0.2mm bore has far less clearance, so any dust, debris, or slightly out-of-spec filament is more likely to cause a partial blockage than it would in a 0.4mm nozzle. Keep filament dry and run a cold pull at the first sign of under-extrusion rather than waiting for a full clog.
How do I clear a clog without damaging such a small nozzle?
Bambu's cold pull method is the safest approach — heat the nozzle, let it cool partway so the filament firms up, then pull it straight out to drag debris with it. Use PLA or PETG for the pull since they give the cleanest result; avoid forcing a metal needle too aggressively given how narrow the 0.2mm bore is.
