How to Buy Bambu Lab Parts and Filament in the US: Fitment, Genuine Parts and What We Carry

How to Buy Bambu Lab Parts and Filament in the US: Fitment, Genuine Parts and What We Carry

The most common reason a Bambu Lab order goes wrong is not shipping or price. It is ordering by part name instead of by printer model. A hotend for a P1S does not fit an A1, a plate cut for an H2D does not fit an A2L, and a part that fits an X1C may not fit an X1E. This page is a checklist for ordering the right Bambu Lab part or filament the first time, and a plain description of what MakerParts 3D carries.

In this guide

Five checks before you order a Bambu Lab part

  1. Know your exact model, not just the series. A Series is A1, A1 Mini and A2L. P Series is P1P, P1S and P2S. X Series is X1C, X1E and X2D. H2 Series is H2D, H2D Pro, H2S and H2C. Parts are matched to models, and models inside a series are not always interchangeable.
  2. Read the compatibility badge on the product page. It lists the models the part fits. If your model is not in it, the part is not confirmed for your printer.
  3. Understand what you are replacing. On P1 and X1 printers a worn nozzle means a new hotend, because the nozzle is part of the unit. On the A Series the nozzle is a separate quick-swap part. Our nozzle guide shows which fits which.
  4. Match the part number when you have it. Bambu labels its spares with its own codes. If you are replacing a part you already own, compare the number on the old part or in Bambu's wiki to the manufacturer part number on the listing.
  5. Check variants. Some products have one variant for older printers and another for newer ones, such as different cable lengths or plate sizes. The compatibility badge changes with the variant you select.

Our series compatibility guide covers what is shared and what is not across the lineup.

Genuine Bambu parts and look-alikes

Popular consumables are copied: hotends, nozzles, build plates and filament. A few signals help on any marketplace:

  • The listing names the printer model. Genuine parts are sold against specific models. A listing that says only "for Bambu" is a warning.
  • Bambu filament carries an RFID tag that the printer reads to load the correct profile. A spool with no tag, or a printer that does not recognize it, is not an official spool.
  • The vendor is stated. On our product pages the brand is shown as Bambu Lab, BIQU, Slice Engineering, TZ or another named maker. We label third-party upgrades as third-party.

What MakerParts 3D carries

  • Bambu Lab specialist for parts. Official Bambu Lab hotends, build plates, extruder and feed parts, cooling, electronics and AMS accessories, plus third-party upgrades for Bambu printers from BIQU (Panda line), Slice Engineering and TZ.
  • Filament. The core Bambu Lab range, with a materials guide and a short list of picks, plus filament from Creality, BIQU and The Virtual Foundry.
  • Machines from other brands. Laser, CNC and scanner machines from brands such as Creality Official, LaserPecker, Sculpfun and TwoTrees.

We use the same series and model names as Bambu on every product, so you can browse by printer from the Bambu Lab shop.

  • Returns. 30 days from delivery.
  • One order for the whole fix. Official Bambu parts and third-party upgrades Bambu does not sell, such as Slice Engineering and BIQU hotends, can go in the same cart.
  • Schools, agencies and businesses. We accept purchase orders and offer Net-30 and tax-exempt sales to qualifying accounts, subject to approval. See Education and Wholesale. Orders are subject to stock and import lead times.
